Good Hairdryer Or Good Brush

I have a constant battle with my hair & try hard to control it. Recently my hairdresser advised me to invest in a Parlux hairdryer. What I would like to know is whether it's more important to have a good hairdryer or a good quality brush ( that was advice I read in a magazine). Anyone got experience of this sort of issue & can give me advice before I spend £85 on a new hairdryer? Cheers

So what exactly does an expensive hair dryer do that a cheap one wont do apart from look nicer and possibly last longer?

A load of hot air ....... that's all a hair dryer is!

Maybe its a new cut you need and one that you can manage yourself. Try a new hairdresser and see if it helps.

Apparently Parlux is the brand most used my hairdressers & the concentrator nozzles stop the ends of the hair from becoming burnt - other than that little gem I have no idea why they are so highly recommended.

Last year I got a dryer/styler from Lidl. It has 2 round brushes, a normal brush, a straightener, and a concentrator nozzle. It cost £10 and is brilliant. I have short naturally curly hair, and it suits me fine. They don't have them all the time, but I believe they have them on offer quite often.

They are so highly recommended because they have a fancy name and professional hairdressers use them, well they would, a hairdresser is using them for a few hours everyday I imagine, and a £5.99 Argos special really aint going to look the part or last very long.

Seriously though revpat, I would have thought heat is heat no matter what nozzle it comes from. I'd buy a mid price range one.

It doesn't matte too much what hairdryer you have as long as it has a good nozzle and also has a cold setting. Finish your blowing with about 2-3mins on a cold setting and your hair will look fabulous. Likewise just find a good quality hairbrush that doesn't cause static build up when you use it.
