Just looked on Ebay/Holland and they sell these http:// www.eba y.nl/it m/World wide-15 mm-22mm -Copper -Pipe-S lice-Tu be-Cutt er-Set- /251351 183956? pt=UK_D IY_Mate rials_P lumbing _MJ& ;hash=i tem3a85 b2b254& amp;_uh b=1
Seems a good sign.

Yes, they're metric, but sometimes slightly different sizes. With copper pipe you may find 14mm or 16mm where we use 15mm.
Waste pipe sizes as well. Our 32mm may be 30mm. Similar discrepancies with 40mm waste.
No matter though. For waste ......... take a few "wind-up" straight jointers. (The type that screw up by hand, as in a sink waste.) They can take up a little slack.
For copper, pipe san be "swaged" to make it take a larger diameter inside it. (Conical shaped thingy that you hammer up yer pipe.)
You'll be fine. The local merchants may well have adaptors. They're far more "euro savvy than we are.
