I have been trying to install the latest version of Skype on my wife's Vista based laptop. After installation the laptop will not complete its boot sequence and crashes at the desktop. If I delete Skype in safe mode, the laptop boots normally again. Any ideas?!

Yeah Alice, that's where we d/lit from. I was wondering if I should try to d/l an older version, maybe the latest one will not work properly with Vista?
The latest version of Skype is meant to run under Vista but, if it doesn't, your idea of trying an older version sounds fine to me. OldApps.com has what you need:
http://www.oldapps.com/skype.php
(That's a perfectly safe place to download programs from. I've used it lots of times)

Thanks Buenchico, but actually that site no longer has any version of Skype, they have removed it.
