yesterday I was sent a video presume its on U tube of a small girl about three sitting in the garden and they do the "ice challenge" over her, whether the water is actually cold I don't know, once soaked the little girl gets up and tells them to "*uck off" and everyone seems to think its funny she should say that ! it cant be the first time she has said it obviously.
I refused to share it and deleted but since then another person has sent it to me who also thinks its hilarious, call me old fashioned but I cant see how a child swearing like a trooper is funny.

I've seen this on FB too, Dee, didn't bother to watch it (got no speakers anyway)
It's not funny.
I agree Dee..not nice and for me quite uacceptable..sign of today`s parenting practices ?
It is funny. It's only a word.

Disagree Murray. The people in my life with foul language were my grandad and dad.
I agree too, absolutely dreadful. Sadly you can't blame the child though.

In fact, I've commented on the clip to everybody that has posted it on FB, I've been un friended by one!

uummmm teaching a child of that age to swear is not funny whatever the antic, the parents must have known how she would react ?as minty says great parenting.
ummmm NOT in a three year old !!
Swearing doesn't make someone a bad person.
No one taught me to swear....I still done it though.

I don't know many Irish households where there is no effing and blinding.
I don't approve of that sort of bad language in children either. very bad parenting imo. what sort of everyday example are they setting her.
Don't think you're going to convince anybody ummmm!

I never ever heard my parents swear the strongest language my dad ever used was "hells bells" ! and then he was really "vexed" !
The little girl must have been watching Mrs Brown's Boys.
Seen it on fb too, agree it's not funny and not just for the swearing which is appalling to encourage in a child anyway, but why throw water over a child who I presume wasn't expecting it poor girl...
So a parent could do everything for their child. Play with them, take them out, teach them, love them....but because they say the odd swear word it makes them a bad parent?

I swear....and I have 3 lovely children who occasionally swear. But they work hard, study hard, have manners, are kind and thoughtful.
NOT in mine when there is a child around...trouble in store for her at school/ nursery..for sure...what other parents will be happy to include her at parties etc ? It is NOT normal or acceptable in agreeable society..
they' re NOT 3 years old !
Look....you tell them it's wrong. You don't know what the parents said after the end of the video.

I got told off for swearing in my 30s. My dad swore like a trouper....he never let me do it though.

But really....it's only words.

Is it acceptable to put For Funks Sake on here?
I don't think I have ever sworn in front of a child. not mine or someone else's. just not acceptable in my book. dislike hearing other people swear in public. between 2 adults okay but otherwise. NO.
Yeah...you have to teach your children to know your audience. They might swear in the house, or in front of their friends, but they would NEVER swear in front of my Mum or Nan.

Same as me.
