Can any one explain why a so called British Muslim can put forward proposals to ban a British Children's cartoon programme on British television?
He says that Peppa is abominable and should be replaced by Abdullah the Cat.
The Jews do not eat pork and consider the meat unclean but I hear no rumblings in Stamford Hill or Golders Green about this pernicious pig.
No wonder there is so much anti muslim feeling in this country when this zealot is given a mouthpiece to spout this nonsense. If this is considered an affront to his children,by him, then he has a choice .He can go back to Pakistan or Syria where "my children can grow up to be good muslims"
What good is Islam in this country and why is it allowed to take over our culture?
Women treated as second class citizens.
Women treated as fair game for grooming and rape.
So called Sharia law imposed in towns in this country.
British people intimidated coming out of off licences or women referred to as slags because of their western style of dress.
Bibles removed from hotel chain rooms in case of causing offence in a mainly Christian country.
Nativity plays and carol services discontinued in schools.
Hal Al meat imposed on us whether we want it or not.
Red Cross no longer selling Xmas cards.
Hate preachers grooming muslim youth to become jihadists and act like savages.
Pretty much disagreeing with most of our culture and being allowed to dictate what they want in this country without having a "phobe" label attached to them.
Help themselves to our welfare system.
What is so good about this religion that we should allow it to overtake our own culture? I see very little to like about it.May be the thought of 24 virgins may attract them but then you have to be a martyr to enjoy that fairy story. Why can they not live here in quiet peace, worship their God and shut up as to how this country should be run and NOT by their terms.
I shall now go and download some more peppa pig storys on my tablet for my little grand daughter. She can pronounce Peppa but not Abdullah.

Where was this story published?
I'm with Bednobs, so glad mine are past watching it now (although the American rubbish they watch now is worse than fingernails on a blackboard).

even tho it's a hoax, id still like to see her banned
In Katy, Texas, home to René Zellweger (spelling), there was strong indication that a mosque was going to be built. A local farmer arranged for pig racing meets on the land next door and very popular they were too.

No mosque was built.

When you have calmed down a wee bit, post a link, cheers.
I take these stories with a pinch of salt.
The answer is there is no reason why anyone can't make a request for a programme to be banned. There have been cases I'm sure when Christians here have complained about programmes

I wish I could post this link but I confess I do not know how to. If my wife was hear she could show me how to. I can assure you that what I have posted can be found on yahoo news and apparently was posted on facebook which I am glad to say do not subscribe to. I believe cutting and pasting is involved in showing links but all I know about that is wall papering!
if we the British people give in to this latest demand, then it is the beginning of the end...... I am with you on this one Retrocop, another 25 years and we will be a Muslim country you mark my words, hope I will be dead & gone first.
IT WAS A HOAX - read MY link
Indeed, the saintly Mrs Whitehouse spent long hours complaining about what she saw as 'filth' on the BBC. For all the good it did she might as well saved her breath to cool her porridge.
Factor-Fiction - yes indeed, here's an example. Malcolm Muggeridge and the Archbishop of Canterbury complained about and sought a ban on the film The Life of Brian on religious grounds - they failed abysmally.

Apparently this was a hoax and supposed to be satirical by a Muslim comic who was trying to demonstrate that muslims are ordinary and the same as anyone else. Well that "joke" did'nt persuade me . He has just done his religion another disservice but the the main topic of my thread I still stand by.
In principal I agree, though I think these reports could possibly be blown out of proportion.
As soon as I read the title I immediately thought "Here comes the mass hysteria and scaremongering brigade"

Funny hoax tho.

Ok bedknobs. Calm down. Give me a chance to finish my explanation why I was unable to provide a link and then I read your link afterwards.
Only worked because it's believable.
Red Cross Christmas cards are on sale by the way, http://giftshop.redcross.org.uk/category/christmas
