A Marmite question, tezmand.

Very comfy (I think), but many people think they are 'too hot'.
my experience of two different makes is that it was like sleeping on a hot pogo stick on a rough sea.

I don't like them at all.
If you are buying a mattress I would say one thing, try them out in the shop. I tried loads before I decided on one that I felt comfortable on.
We have a pocket sprung mattress with a memory foam top. very comfortable.
Sorry I should have added that I didn't like the feel of the memory foam mattress's
I was put off buying one because apparently they are very warm and that wouldn't suit me. I went for a pocket sprung one instead.
Tez...I bought one and loved it...best sleep ever...but it was hot so I bought a good cotton and slightly padded topper and now it's fantastic....

I couldn't change now....so comfy and no aches or stiffness waking up..x

No stiffness ... hmmm ... you're not selling it to me, gness :)

[ I agree - a cotton topper on a mf mattress is essential ]
Oh I should know by now!!!!
MrAsk has a memory foam mattress which has recently developed amnesia. The covering has become wrinkled or the foam has shrunk, he still insists it is comfy and very warm (to the point that he is sweating sometimes). I find it heavy to lift to tuck the sheet in and can't smooth the sheet over the wrinkly bits (no, he isn't in the bed at the time). The mattress is about 5 years old and we ordered another mattress just recently.
Hate them...and sprung ones too. I've only ever slept on real latex mattresses eg Dunlopillo....wouldn't ever change.
luuuuush......get one! best night's sleep i have ever had. i love my spoingy mattress and they are worth the money - even a 3'' topper makes a big difference x
Hi Lisa - nice to 'see' you - well I hope?

Dxx
I love mine and don't find it hot even though I am at a hot time of life. I sleep in tencel and cotton only though. It does take some getting used to.
Had ours for a few years now,it is 100% foam, when new it was quite firm, still is,but just starting to sag in the position laid in.Not a problem though,as you do not fall into the middle like a normal mattress, and subsequently your wife.
Downside is that it takes the two of us to turn it round (You don`t turn it over ),not too bad if you have the space to do it.This particular make was a mid price range, not a dear one.

hmm mixed reations
I have memory foam pillows that go hard and lumpy. I also have memory foam insoles and they also go lumpy and uncomfortable. I think all my memory foam are losing their memory or at the very least developing short term memory loss. :)
I love mine, wouldn't go back to a sprung one now.

I have a lot of pain in my body due to health issues and this is the most comfortable mattress I have had to ease the pain.
We have a mattress with a built in memory phone topper. Not as expensive as the full memory foam but you get the best of both worlds, firm mattress with the comfort of the MF and not too hot.
Taz...we had a 60 night...I think it was....trial period with our mattress.... that's worth a try....x
