New To Bt Broadband/tv Package - Help!!
7 Answers
I have had a BT Hub for my b.band for a while and have had my tv package thru Sky. To save a lot I have cancelled Sky and taken a complete package of phone/b/band/tv with BT.
They have delivered me my Freeview PVR Box but after setting it up for the first time I got all the programs but NOT the BT sports package I was expecting for the subscription.
I rang BT and they told me for this I would need a later Hub and they are sending me that and say to plug it in and connect the 'ethernet'? cable they supplied to the box and the new Hub and at a certain time I will be able to get the sports package plus a few others such as discovery.
My question is.......when I do this (connect) will the extra programs show with the current ones on my screen guide? or will I have to press another button on the remote to get them separately?
Please explain in simple terms as I am elderly and new to BT TV.
Thanks everyone

On your remote, when you press the BT Youview button, like when you want to watch programmes you have recorded, BT Sports should be there.

Well.......it works at last!
After over 30 mins on BT helpline (India!) I now have the BT Sport along with Discovery and some other channels.
After connecting the new hub they sent me and the Ethernet cable I still had nothing but there was still more to do seemingly, as I had then to update the YouView box with the latest updates. It still did not work and I was then told to switch off the box for 10 secs and then switch on again and low and behold the new programs appeared on the Schedule page in the 700....sequences.
Then I had a problem that whatever I did with the remote it would not access the program directly ie it kept missing numbers when I pressed it. I was then told by BT India how to re program that by holding down together 3 buttons including the BT button until the flashing blue light on the remote stopped. It worked and I now have all the programs.
Wish I had stayed with Sky!
