After my TV (32" Goodmans Wide-Screen) has been on for about an hour the picture developes a yellow tint and a wobble, if it remains switched on longer a single white line crosses the screen horizontaly. When the TVs been switched off for a while then on again, its fine , again only for about an hour. The sound is fine, and the picture is watchable just yellow. Whats wrong, can it be fixed cheaply?

Quite possibly, but you run the risk of permanent damage if you continue to use it as it is.
Is it plasma or conventional CRT screen?  If it's a CRT then you're suffering from a "frame collapse" and it will quickly burn the white line, permanently across your screen.  Take it to a repairman and get an estimate.

I presume that its not a digital TV that you've got. If so, then it sounds like your electron tube is on the way out, which to fix is unfortunately about the same price as a new TV. Is it an old tele? If not then there is no way that the tube should go until at least 10 years of use, and you may be able to get a new one on a manufacturers warranty.

Hope this helps,

Let us now how you get on

Either Boo or Pixi are trying to get thru a message on hotmail;, I would stand back
