Thanks everybody. I used to work as a Financial Adviser years ago and we needed to be able to print out documents for people to sign on the spot, so to speak. We used a previous, B/W version of the Canon, which was about as small as they come. I guess the Pixma iP100 is the modern version of that one. We also used a Panasonic printer, that worked in a similar fashion, but I can't find any trace of a modern version now.
I have found a few on Ebay but they are over £300 new, although there are some second hand for less than £100. Not keen on buying used, as printers are notorious for going faulty !
I think the industry are missing out on a huge market here, when you consider the millions of people that must use mobile computers these days...Laptops, Notebooks, and Tablets. The ability to print off a page or two of A4 whenever you needed to and not have to wait until you get home would be really useful.
I mentioned that to PC world last week, but they looked a bit nonplussed ....about par for the course with PC World I guess !
