Celebs And Books

How come any celeb can have their own book published and sold etc and when someone like us want to have theirs published, there is no clear cut advice out there?
1. Who do we go to?
2. Do we pay upfront (i don't think we should, and should only pay when book is published and money is made)
3. Do we need an agent, where do we find one from?
4. What else can be done to have a book published?

To answer your first point, Publishing houses know that celebrity books will sell, especially at this time of year.
Anyway, have a read of this. Self-publishing is becoming more poplar but you'll have to have faith in your product and a bit of cash.

The easiest way to get a book published (by far) is to use CreateSpace:

I had a book published FREE of charge when I came across a firm in the US at www.publishamerica.com
I found it on Google and it is all done via e-mails.
Well worth a trial.
