Wedding Bells In The Air

I have just had good news and that is that my goddaughter has just got engaged on the ski-slopes under the Matterhorn, her now-fiancé catching her completely unawares, stopping at a scenic point and getting an Italian to take a pic of them. She was giving him major grief about faffing around with his goggles and poles and what was he up to - then he dropped to his knee.
He had a ring to hand as well......
He had asked her father for his 'permission' on New Year's Eve......and her father played a blinder in putting her mother off the scent.
Wedding probably next Spring as he is finishing a Masters. So more drawings and speeches to consider as I am 'senior godfather.'
Any bizarre engagement stories out there with ABers? Location, Scenario, Sequence of events etc?

We had chosen a ring so it wasn't entirely a surprise but it was still lovely. I can still remember people walking by and smiling and we took absolutely no notice of them. Oh yes and there was a puddle in front of the park bench so he knelt in it.
