How do I copy and paste multiple photos from macbook to USB stick?

Is it command and c because it doesn't seem to be working?

Where are the photos? on iphoto or on your desktop? If they are on the desktop, have the usb in the socket so it shows in finder, then click and drag over the pics to lassoo them then drag the whole lot onto the usb in the finder window. If in iphoto shift and click on all the chosen photos then edit copy, click on the usb in finder then edit paste.
