i tried to sign up to Talk Talk package but i was told they "don't have their own equipment installed at my local exchange".When i queired further they said there was "no space at the exchange"
Anyone experienced this with Talk Talk ?
In order to open up telecommunication to competition, the Regulator forced BT to allow services providers to apply to have their access equipment installed at the local exchange. There is a maximum number of competitors that can do this in one particular exchange. Not a physical space issue but a provision under the rules. Talk Talk were probably not quick enough in deciding to offer services in your area.
Broadband doesn't use any outside aerial. Unless you are one of the tiny minority who uses satellite broadband services or who have community rural broadband bounced off the steeple of the local church.
Perhaps you need to ask another question?
