Vauxhall Injection Pump
Hi, dads vauxhall Zafira 2.0 dti was diagnosed with fuel pump critical malfunction some time ago and has been sat for a while waiting to be fixed. It started after dad was forced to plough through a large puddle in order to avoid an ignorant bus driver coming the opposite way on a narrow road. Car stalled to a stop and wouldn't start, however would start and run for a split second on easy start.
We have now replaced the pump and still won't start, we have tried easy start since changing it and now easy start doesn't do anything. Has the code reader put on today and it's reading p1345 once again, injection pump critical malfunction. We have had the car turning over whilst the injector pipes detached and it is pumping fuel through however not under pressure as such, more of a dribble than a pressurised flow.
Please please please has anyone got any ideas as to what it could be, I am now wondering wether the pump was at fault in the first place or wether it was an associated part i.e wiring etc. we have checked the leak off pipes and they look fine.
Thanks in advance for any help.

check your Fuses, the electric Start / Stop Fuse may have blown, Although going through a puddle can cause some probs the car should still start, the product you are using!!! I would not make a habit of using that stuff as the car will get accustomed to using it, I know this from my HGV Driving days, Ask your Dad to take off the Air Intake Cover & make sure it clean & replace the filter as this will be wet.
