How Can I Find Out How Many People Were Born On The Same Date And Year As Myself?

I'm intrigued as I have discovered a friend was born on the same day as me and I wanted to know the odds.

I have to say it was quite a surprise...we don't discuss birthdays and stuff.

Your age needs to be taken into account if you use jno's numbers as fewer people were born on each day in years gone by.

Off track a bit, but there is slightly more than a 50% chance that in any group of 23 people two of them will share a birthday (not born in the same year, just born on the same day of the year).

NJ,we were discussing this in the pub one night,we did a quick count (26 of us) and the first two people gave their birthdays as 16th August which is also mine.Just goes to show.

I agree same days are unusual in a group of mates but the exact date and year?

I don't even want to ask him the time he was born :)

To think you've shared hours of chat with this person and didn't know you had one fundamental thing in common....you entered the world the same day.

It's fascinating how many people were born on the same day , poles apart , who would later on in life be joined either politically or socially.

That has to rise above coincedence you'd think :/

My mother in law ironically died on her birthday. I'm sure the odds of that wouldn't be 365/1...would they? Not that there's ever a good day to die but the full circle seemed significent in some small way to the family.

Correct, jno. Their funerals were held on the same day and Verdi's got the greater coverage.

I recall a just a few years back the obits went from a half page to 4 pages in a local broadsheet in the first week of the year.People who weren't involved were astonished...there was no apparent reason.

I must find the year....google task for the night !!
