I own a Nissan Nivara with reversing camera.I bought it new in 2013.In 2014 during a warm and sunny spell the screen went very dark with horizontal lines going up and down like the old TV's out of tune. As it was under warranty I made an appointment with the dealership to have it sorted and was given a date the following week. The Law of Murphy intervened the day before the appointment and reversing camera operated correctly with clarity.
I took it anyway and asked for it to be checked over in any case as I would rather any defects be found whils't still under warranty.
The checks were done and I got,"Sorry guv. Can't find a fault".
The camera has worked well up to this week which has been bright and sunny( aren't I lucky) and the camera screen has reverted to the original problem I have described. Now I am perfectly capable of reversing this vehicle with out the use of a camera (I held an HGV 2 licence and PSV Class1 licence not so long ago).Has any one experienced similar problems and if so can it easily be sorted. I hate having items that do not operate as they should and I would like to get it working again when I decide to sell which I hope will be a long time yet.
Thanks in Advance
A lot of camera suffer the problem you described dye to hot temperature. What you should is take a picture of the image when it happens and add for a replacement from your dealer.

Thanks gents for your advice.Since I posted this the camera has rectified itself as soon as it became a little overcast in the last few days.Oh well not to worry.
Brightspark. My last was a Series 3 Air Portable. The replacement I wanted was a Diesel Defender Ragtop but the Mayor of London had different ideas. The London Pollution zone is 100m from my front door.
