We have had some fun on AB these last few weeks and we haven't all agreed with each other. But I would urge everybody to vote today. There are many millions all over the globe that don't have this luxury of democracy, so we should make sure we use this once-in-five-years opportunity !

Be there or be square, as they used to say in my youth !

Oh, do I have to?
posted off some time ago !
I agree 100%. But perhaps the old Belfast motto, 'vote early, vote often', is best forgotten now.

Have done already, one of the first in.
Now that folk still in the queue to vote at 10pm can do so, I'm wondering if the broadcasters will announce the results of exit polls at 10 as they have done in past elections.

Corby...yes, I expect so, so we should have a pretty good idea by about 22:10 tonight !

But I am predicting a hung parliament, like most people.
It could take more than ten minutes for a queue to clear and it could be argued that a broadcaster influenced a result.
//But I am predicting a hung parliament//

a good proportion of them deserve to be.......
mikey - a hung parliament. That is just about right for a lot of the candidates. are you asking for nominations?
Yes it's too important not to vote and I'll be voting for a different parties in the local and national elections. I'll go when I walk the dogs, hope they'll let me take them into the polling station.
I will be voting for the party I can trust, the party I know won't lie through their bloody teeth, and the party that won't won't rob me blind, Oh look, It looks like I don't have to bother going out of the house today!!
ratter..there you are..we wondered if you were in tesco in your birthday suit ?
Ratter I don't think such a party exists ! once in power they forget about you and me & concentrate on their expenses, second homes and their pension, none of them are squeaky clean and over half should be charged with fraud for various reasons ! politicians bah humbug !
Already done mine and posted it back ages ago. Thank goodness for postal votes, so much better!
Don't want to cause any arguments, My party in the past may have caused problems " but don't we all" they have not been on their own, I do not want to go down the USA Way regards Insurance cards for the NHS that would be unfair to the UK public, But it does need a shake up especially "Freebies" Vote Well, Think Ahead, think about the younger generation, it's them that your vote effects.
I will not be voting, but will watch the antics of my mother country with interest.
Signed the voting paper with a X shudda stayed at school longer
TWR, // ..Vote Well, Think Ahead, think about the younger generation, it's them that your vote effects…//

Spot on! Well said! The denial of an excellent education for bright kids from poor homes by the abolition of Grammar Schools, the introduction of tuition fees, and the advent of uncontrolled immigration driving wages down – all from Labour. Our children deserve the best opportunities we can give them – and they won’t get them under a Labour government.

I already voted by post a couple of weeks ago.
