Hi everyone ..... I'm back from my holiday!

Many thanks to Gness for nobly holding the fort and posting all the birthday greetings while I've been away ...... and there were quite a lot!

We had a great time in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote - what a great resort and how lucky that we happened to be there this week when temperatures broke all records in the Canaries for May - well into the 40s! Phew, 'twas a little bit too hot though!

Back to earth with a bump ....... and a hot water bottle to take to bed! :(

Yes but I had a huge price to pay for going away on holiday - first day broke tooth in half which was so sharp it lacerated my tongue. Found a dentist (lovely Spanish lady dentist, who was a doctor) who had to pin it before filling (private - but actually cheaper than UK NHS!!) Took 3 days to recover from sore tongue so couldn't eat. Had 3 more good days then caught the dreaded Norovirus which seemed to be doing the rounds. Oh boy! was I sick? Continually - for 14 hours! the bug took away my appetite for a week, the rest of our holiday! Came back yesterday, now poor Hubby is throwing up as I type .................. :( I must be the only person on an all-inclusive holiday who came back having lost weight!!

Thankyou all - I wasn't sure what the wifi would be like there so that's why I asked Gness just in case. The signal was a bit iffy and I find it difficult to type on my phone, so glad nobody was missed.
