However there might be a problem with food safety. Microwave ovens tend to produce 'hot spots' (and, equally, 'cold spots') within them. The purpose of rotating the food is to ensure that you don't end up with with some of it overcooked and (far more worryingly, especially if it's something like chicken) some of it undercooked.
As a short term measure (while you're looking for new oven) simply turning the plate half a turn manually a few times during the cooking process should be fine but I'd still recommend seeking a replacement (unless you can get a repair, of course) a.s.a.p.
