Aching Joints
6 Answers
In the morning when I "try" to get up it takes maybe a minute or two and then another minute to stretch my achy joints - my feet can be sore too. I was out with a friend on Friday night and and cannot believe the high heels she was wearing (same age as me) - they were about 4 or 5 inches high. I am walking in bloody pumps and barely making the small walk we had to do.
I just feel if I could lose weight then of course the achy joints may go - I guess you would all agree.
When I walk Maxie - I have to stop from time to time just to get ease - he's ok - off the lead and running like mad.
No matter what pills I take I don't seem to get ease. Am fed up and jealous of my friend. (That's a joke) the jealousy bit. Friend is very thin - but she too talks of achy joints so what's is it all about. Can anybody recommend something really good. My body has been through quite a lot of knocks, falls, head falls, 3 car crashes I particularly suffer from painful sole of right foot and I know this was the result of my slamming and slamming the brake of the car of one of the car crashes (this was 1998) but that pain never went away - in 2008 I fell and broke my ankle, shoulder and teeth and that pain has never gone away. Will I just have to live with this. All of these knocks have led to Fibromyalgia. Doctor just told me when you "hurt" anything in your body that pain never goes away. Any advice please would help. Thanks

Do you have any adaptations in the home that help? What kind of 'pumps' are you wearing? I have osteoarthritis .. I have just been put on co-codamol .. lowest dose & they've made a massive difference taken at a regular time. I'd put up with rubbish medication for so long & got so fed up living with my aches & pains like you. Before co-codamol was prescribed I tried buprenorphine off a family member (I know but when you're desperate).. was way too strong .. made me physically sick. Strange how they could take it & I couldn't even stomach half a tab. It's a terrible really, you're in pain so you don't exactly feel like walking/ exercise. You need to get on top of that pain, but also lots of little things help too like the right footwear, help around the house, a good mattress. Will look back later x

Hi Girls
Have just got on here due to being a bit late home from CU plus had to attend some family matters on the phone.
I buy my own paracodal Lina - they are co-codamol - dont know whether it is psychological or not but feel so much pain if I don't have any in the house. Doctor gave me naproxen - no effect - ibrufen - no effect nothing seems to work. Doctor gave me cortisone for shoulder again no effect.
I don't seem to have got over that walk on Friday cos those pumps were not a good thing to wear (I know I need good "grippy/ankle" shoes and I use those for walking the dog - massive difference.
I read the link and you wouldn't believe the compliments I receive about how well I look, last week I got 3 different compliments re my skin and I am writhing in agony and can't believe people are telling me this - thus they don't have a clue as to the chronic pain I am in.
Anyway must get Maxie and myself ready for bed and maybe we'll talk again. Goodnight JjCon.
