Things have not got better,a meeting had been arranged by one daughter of the elderly man after she had spoken to the daughter of the lady, this was to be arranged when mans daughter came back from her weekend away, although all the mans notes said to any doctor do not discuss care home until family had to him a doctor mentioned it to him, this very sadly caused the man to react badly and be very abusive to his family members so he was prescribed sedatives, the elderly lady went to visit this afternoon and was in a state of shock to how I'll the man had become she then was told it was her fault for not telling the man earlier by a daughter who had little contact with her dad it got to the point I took her away from situation, what's really annoyed me is this happened yesterday and not one of the mans family even phoned this poor lady of anything that had gone on so she went to visit hoping he had improved and came away heart broken

It is all very sad , but the people are not your relations, they are your neighbours.
You run the risk of being seen as interfering when all you intend to be is helpful.
This awful situation will somehow sort itself out in time and when it does, then you can be there for your friends in whatever way they need.
