Sony Laptop

I have a Sony Laptop but can't get any sound from it, I have tried F10 and F11 but neither seems to work, so hopefully somebody can advise me what else I can try. Many thanks

Has the sound ever worked?

Have you changed anything?

Do you have a "speaker" icon on the task bar in the bottom right?

If so right click on it and try some of the options there, or left click on it and make sure it not muted and the volume is raised up.

Thanks VHG, I had already checked these things out but it just won't work anymore, and it did work previously. Thanks anyhow
