I have a ring I would like to wear but it needs stretched.

Can it be stretched as it is or does a piece need to be inserted. Ta

...probably depends on just how bigger it needs to be?
Looking at the link that grasscarp has provided, I think its best to take it to a proper jeweller !
I wouldn't try to do it myself. Take it to a jeweller. They won't charge you for asking.
Mikey. I wouldn't try it.
My grandson was pulling at one of my rings on the train the other day. I told him it wouldn't come off my finger. I then added that sometimes firemen have to cut it off.
He said: "Do they give you a new finger?"
The lady sitting next to him couldn't stop laughing.....
lol grasscarp !
My wife and I have just had our wedding rings and my signet ring enlarged by 1.5 sizes and it cost £180 for the three.
Reading Grasscarp's post reminds me of when I was on duty one day (I used to be a Fireman) a young lady walked into the station and asked if we could remove a ring from her finger. No problem we said, a few seconds later a colleague walked in with a pair of 24" bolt croppers in his hand and said "OK where's the ring that needs cutting off" - the look on the lady's face said it all. True story.

Good story FBG. I think all firemen (and forewomen) and wonderful.
