Damp Marks

I left slippers (which were a little damp) on my wooden radiator cover and now you can see the marks of two footprints on it.

I have polished and polished but to no avail - anybody know how I can get rid of these marks. Thanks

I hae a small wooden shelf above my bathroom basin and it is quite stained. I'm unsure there is a lot you can do as it'll have sunk under the surface. Perhaps putting the radiator on will eventually dry it out ? Failing that there is always paint.

is it waxed or varnished?

Hi Woof - I really don't know but would say it is more waxed.
