Just bought the wife a Peugeot 207 59 plate. Was checking the oil level and the dipstick has an orange plastic cone right at the bottom and no other marks on dipstick. Dealer said oil level has to be between the 2 marks on the coloured plastic cone - what a strange set-up !
Is this info correct ? I'm used to Fords and Vauxhalls where you just have notches on the metal dipstick - or am I just behind the times ?
I just wanted to be sure it had enough oil in it.
I have looked on Peugeot owner websites and I'm really no wiser.
TIA Gary
Ging, some Peugeot come with a stupid cheap Plastic Dipstick, I had to replace my wife's as the end had dropped into the Sump, ( and that's where it stayed)
