Hello, my name is Allyssa. I live in Ontario, Canada. I'm with the "Telus" phone service. I have pay-as-you-go. So I have to choose plans every month. I have unlimited messaging that is supposed to be international. My boyfriend is 6 months in to a 10 month business trip in Wisconsin, US and is using AT&T. I can receive messages from him but whenever I send a message TO him, his phone doesn't receive it. What could this be caused by and what are the possible solutions? (I can send messages to all of my American friends) (I've been searching for answers but the Telus contact employees never respond and nobody ever answers on other sites)

What messaging app are you using? Have you tried a different one?
Could it be that your service provider doesn't allow cross national messages on your account ? Effectively your boyfriend has roamed into another country. I may be 'clutching at straws' here but do calls get through ? You could always contact Telus customer service, explain the situation and ask what's happening that your messages fail to get through.
These are text messages (SMS) I take it. Not Internet data ? Could make a difference.
Same old story. Poster posts a complicated question. ABers provide take time to read question, compose reply and post courteous response. Poster can't be bothered either to answer ABer's questions for further information, or even to acknowledge that a reply has been received. How rude.

^ The poster is in Canada. They probably posted before they went to sleep. At least give them a chance to get up!
Oh, ok, good point, 237SJ, let's see if they actually do reply in a few hours. Place your bets please!

Thank you so much everyone that helped me, and I'm sorry I didn't reply sooner. I got it all figured out. It was SMS on an iphone, so the standard app. It was a fault on their part. I paid for international messaging but they didn't put it through. So I got refunded all the money I lost. But once again, I'm sorry I didn't reply sooner and thank you guys so much for your help.

Kind of wish there was a reply button so I could thank everyone individually.
No need. A general thank you will suffice.
