Hospital Wheelchair Question....
6 Answers
A friend, who has early Motor Neurone Disease is in hospital, and was told last Thursday he could go home the next day Friday.
On Friday morning he was told Social Service don't have a wheelchair for when he gets home, so he might have to wait 2 weeks, until one is available, as he will need one to get around his bungalow, he lives alone.
If I could obtain one, would the hospital have to check/inspect it, for health & safety reasons?
I phoned the hospital, but they told me to call back Monday.

If he lives alone with MND, how is he going to propel himself around in a wheelchair? Are you sure he's not waiting for a special order or an electric one?
