Ppi Dilemna
7 Answers
findmyclaims have found ppi on a credit card- i knew nothing about this(yes i know they charge 30% yada yada yada, blah , blah , blah).
Is it wrong of me to now try to pursue the claim myself -given they have done all the legwork ? (can i even pursue it myself if a a claims service finds it ?)
Tbh , findmyclaims have been very good.I was only using them because i was 99% sure i had no ppi

I had a Barclaycard for years and also had a loan to buy a suite from a furniture company. I've no idea who they were. I was told that banks would have let you know by now, I don't believe it.
Prudie....there is a statute of limitations on PPI claims. For instance, I had a CC about 30 years ago, and that wasn't covered.
My advice remains the same......write to every bank, building society and CC company that you have had dealings with, asking them to investigate. Only use the PPI companies if you can't recall who you had a loan with.
Don't forget, its up to the companies concerned to ferret this info out....you don't need to have any loan account details to hand.
