Any suggestions as to why is coming on when the timer is not asking for it? And the room temp is higher than what is normally asked for.

For this to happen the pump and boiler must be getting power from somewhere. There can be several causes such as faulty timer, froststat closed for some reason, faulty wiring, etc. This is almost certainly purely an electrical issue.
Have you had any recent work done either electrical or on your heating system ?

Wireless controller/thermostat? A faulty one could be sending incorrectly.

Otherwise, I agree that something electrical is going on here.
