This is a bit like Toxic shock - you know that it exists and can kill but you know that the risk is low. But the odd reminder that it can happen won't do any harm
I think that we tend to forget that these little bugs are around and adapting. We can't see them so we get complacent and then we usually get away with no problem. However the risk is still there.
To stick to the official guidelines we should wash our hands a trillion times a day - touch a cat, wash your hands, touch the other cat, wash your hands. I admit to being a rebel in such things.
I am away to see if I can get to sleep now after my failed attempt earlier.

We are talking mainly about MRSA but also other bacteria known as "flesh eating.".......they live on the skin and only 2 out of 100 folks harbour them. Even then, if surgery is required, infection may not ensue and even if it did, it is rare that it is fatal
Necrotising fasciits is also extremely rare.
So ladies.......up to you......but i would continue "shaving."
