I bought a small garden wood burner (chiminea type thing) in the summer and i want to think about lighting it up on Halloween or bonfire night.

But i need logs that don't smoke as it will understandably annoy the neighbours.

I can get plenty of "dry" logs from work but not too sure what to use. I also have a nice piece of apple...any good ???
