Facebook Contacts In Iphone Contacts List
3 Answers
I have just given my old iphone away to a family member so i didn't want to delete everything from it, including some of the contacts. However, i have some contacts in my phone, that appear to be somehow linked to facebook. I have not put them there myself, and don't want them there. I cannot find any way to get rid of them short of deleting the friend, which i didn't want to do. There is no option to delete it when selecting edit in the phone contacts list, as there is for a regular number that I have entered myself. I have looked online for a workaround, but i don't appear to have all the options either in the phone itself, or in the facebook on the computer, so can't find any way to do it. Pretty sure there will be somebody out there who does know. I am getting a bit fed up of facebook constantly changing the way it does things, but doesn't ask first if you want it. I like facebook generally but this aspect of it is annoying. My phone is an iphone 5.

I'm sure my phone offered me the option of linking my Facebook contacts to my phone contacts - which I declined.
I'm wondering if you've accidentally linked your Facebook account to your phone contacts.
If you have, try uninstalling Messenger and see if that helps??
