Shoe Sizes

The different methods in measuring shoes between UK, EU, USA and other countries (like China) makes shopping online for shoes a minefield.
Would anyone be able to tell me what is the HEEL to TOE of a size 13 shoe in USA in cm. That is measuring the actual shoe upside down from Heel to Toe. Many stores ask for your heel to toe FOOT measurement and then produce a shoe saying it will fit but they never give the measurement of the actual shoe. Hope someone can help.

It depends on the style of the shoe. If it's got pointy toes it'll be longer than a ballet pump, for example. Best to measure the foot.

but, with careful measurement, there's no reason why you can't just use a rule.

Using that chart matches US 'Size 13' against '11-and-11/16' of an inch = 29.7cm (to the nearest mm)

I am a male! I guess that there are very few females who would wear size 13 but then again !!!

I find that there's neither rhyme nor reason in shoe sizes within the UK, they vary from shop to shop.
