New Double Glazing Problem
I paid a deposit to a company to fit new double glazed windows and doors back in May.
Whilst they were fitting the windows I noticed that they were ill fitting with large gaps all round.
I complained and pointed out that their sales rep said the windows were bespoke and would be measured and fitted with minimal gaps.
A manager came out and agreed that the windows had been incorrectly measured and that replacements would be manufactured and fitted asap.
When the fitters arrived with the second lot of windows they had a different profile from the originals and did not match the profile of my doors.
Yet again the same manager came out and promised that he would get things sorted and that another set of windows would be manufactured with the correct profile.
Again the fitters arrived this time with windows with the correct profile but the wrong size again.
I have received no communication from the company and when I try calling the customer service manager is always in meetings and never returns my calls.
I'm sick to the back teeth with the company and want to tell them to stick their windows where the sun don't shine but want to know were I stand legally.
They have manufactured three sets of windows incorrectly and are now having to manufacture a fourth set but I've lost all faith in them and also disgusted at their lack of communication.
Do I need to give them the opportunity to get the job right or can I claim my deposit back and tell them to reinstate my old windows.

Hi patbhoy I assume you have not been without windows since May and have the first faulty set currently fitted. Unless you know better I would imagine that your original windows have been dumped. Hi patbhoy
I assume you have not been without windows since May and have the first faulty set currently fitted. Unless you know better I would imagine that your original windows have been dumped.
Write a letter http:// www.pos toffice .co.uk/ mail/uk -signed to the company listing the history of your troubles and stress that as they do not reply to your calls you consider they have failed to honour their contract and demand return of your deposit within 14 days.
If they promise to have another go, only agree if they promise in writing that if the new windows are not satisfactory they will return your deposit.
Best of luck.
