Is there a reason why, back when updating from W8 to W10 on a new laptop, the USB sockets would have failed to reset properly.
I'm trying to update my Garmin satnav via Garmin Express but it doesn't see the nav device.
I've tried various cables but only get the charge function without data transfer.

Actually, now that I've typed all of that I feel I may have asked this before but I'll leave it anyway.

You might need to update the Garmin software/drivers
Try another cable, one of my cables will charge my phone but will not transfer data!
Both the other answers might be relevant but you might need to reinstall Garmin express - Win 10 doesnt do a very good job on picking the newest drivers so there may be oodles of updating to do depending how old your Win 10 disk / download is.
