British Child Missing After Barcelona Terror Attack

There are fears the child could be seven-year-old Julian Cadman - his family have shared a photo to try to find him.

You would be sick with worry if it was your child or a family member. Imagine the worry that one of the gang had kidnapped him, or indeed anyone else.

I'd say so but there was a lot of people to process. It's not like little kids carry ID.

I hope you're right, but I have my doubts. At the very least, the police would have checked the hospital.

I have my doubts too. I know the article says he was separated from his mother but I can't imagine a child that age would have been far from her when the attack took place.

I guess in all the confusion ...people running in fear everywhere .... The poor little boy must have been terrified...

the blowers up and stabbers havent been great kidnappers or hostage takers. That was the whole point of Bataclan ( 99 dead ). The police waited outside for negotiations to begin and the people inside were telephoning " you have no idea what is happening here - they are killing everyone".

It is difficult to see how one can lose the body of a child. ( a bit like Corrie McKeague) but in this case you know there will be a few around

Like the Syrian family in Grenfell who popped up five miles to the North and were faced with the question - well who are the dead bodies in your flat in Grenfell ?

Maybe he ran off into one of the maze of streets and hid and is too frightened to move?

His mother has serious injuries. There was no mention of a father in the article. I just hope that if he's injured he just couldn't give details of who he was.

The local hospitals have taken in so many injured people it must be very hard to identify them all so quickly.

When I go on holiday I don't carry my passport with me.

I think the authorities would make identifying a lone child a priority.

Sorry, ummmm. Not with you. The child has been reported missing. If he hasn't been found then I imagine the fact that he is missing has been established.

Minty...I would have thought he was going to one of the safest places in Europe....after all, it unlikely that the terrorists will strike again in the same place, especially the dead ones.

He is seven years old, so he will be able to look after himself for a certain time, as already been said he could have wandered off in the confusion into a maze of back streets, and not being able to speak Spanish will be finding it hard to communicate with folk.

Let's hope he will soon find a policeman who understands who he is.
