Not sure where to pose this, but here goes.

One has tricycle, bicycle, and is it unicycle? So, for a single something 'tis "uni-"?
But with triathlon and biathlon, I cannot imagine a uni-athlon!

Anybody enlightenment would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Uni from Latin or mono from Greek. There wouldn't be a uni-athlon as that would just be the one sport presumably called by it's usual name.

P: thank you. Of course, monotonous - perhaps in days of yore, 'twas one-toned!
Yes, I was pushing it a trifle on a single sport ...
"trifle"....or bi-fle...or uni-fle....?
