I've bought quite a lot of stuff over the weekend paying through PayPal - three of these payments are pending. Does my PayPal available balance include these pending payments (ie have the payments been taken out of my account)?

A quick log in to your online banking will tell you the answer.

Putting the two sentences here together suggests, to me, that your balance will fall when the payments cease to be 'pending':

i.e. if "payments will reflect on your PayPal Credit account the same day you make them" but "it may take a few days for your available balance to update", I can't see how that could happen unless payments are shown as 'pending' up until the time that your available balance has been reduced.
