Board Games For Two

Have just found out that's it's just the two of us at home on 25th.
I'm looking for recommendations for board games that work well for two people please.
We have the usual Snakes & Ladders, Ludo, Jenga etc
I have googled but it's nice to hear from 'real peeps'

I'd probably opt for something traditional, like backgammon, or simply reach for a pack of cards and play cribbage.

However I know that many people enjoy playing Hive, and the reviews on Amazon look promising:

Try Cards Against Humanity. It’s generally for 6-8 players but if you follow this link there are tips for 2 player games.

Share a word game online - for example Test Twist.

Scattergories was passable - board game for 2 or more players.

Hi, Jake......our charity shops have loads of board games on sale just now.....you can maybe find a good few to try and if you don't enjoy them return them in January....... :-)
