Yes, they are the same, but an American pint is not the same as a British pint. The American pint is smaller, so Americans don't always make things bigger lol. I know this might seem irrelevant to the question but I thought you might have asked it because of the difference between an American pint and a British pint. And, I just felt like telling you :-)
