Invisible Message
3 Answers
I received a message into my Thunderbird (Ububtu) inbox, opened and read it and then replied to it. Now it is not listed among the e-mails in the inbox, yet when I search for it it is reported as being in the inbox where it should be and in the search result panel/listing I can pick it out and open it. I know of one other case of this sort of thing still somewhere in my inbox but the two remain resolutely invisible so far as the Inbox listing goes.
This once happened to me a fair while back and somebody fixed it for me so that that message reappeared in the Inbox listing but I don't know what he did. Is there someone who can explain to me in a simple way how to make the currently invisible message heading etc. visible in the listing and in a way so I do not fail to understand what to do - always assuming it is not that complex ? Can anyone explain just how this has happened ?

Indeed, it's probably far more likely to be such an unidentified external source that caused the problem.
