Lost Contacts
7 Answers
I have recently changed my mobile phone from a Samsung Galaxy S3 to an iPhone 6. I have had to have a new smaller sim but have kept the same number. However, I have lost all my contacts. I have tried to reset the phone but this has not worked. I have also tried to retrieve them through iCloud but when I press 'merge contacts' I get some of my son's contacts but none of my own. Can anyone help with this please?

iCloud is the Apple cloud so the contacts on your Galaxy S3 wont be stored there.
Basically you have moved from one platform (Android on your S3) to Apple (iOS on your iPhone 6) and they are compatible.
You realty need to export your contacts from your Galaxy and import them in to your iPhone 6.
Search for a web site that explains how to move from Android to iOS.

From that link above it seems on your GALAXY S3 you need to download an app called "Move to iOS" from the Google play store.
Then you have to set up the Iphone again and when you get to the "Apps and Data" screen you select "Move data from Android" and follow the instructions.
You need to be on wifi as the data will be moved across a wi fi connection.
