Slime Mould

I have what has been identified as Slime Mould growing on tarmac outside my back door. It is very slippery & if I clear it, it just grows back. Any suggestions to what would kill it would be gratefully received. All I can think of doing is putting a really thick layer of gravel/pebbles on top.
