Trouble With Portable Television

My friend has a Ferguson portable television. Lately when she turns it on she gets a flashing blue light but gets no picture. No help from manual and pressed many buttons ! Any ideas please ?

A Ferguson television will be either very old (and probably needs scrapping) or very new (because the branding "Ferguson" has been re-launched by manufacture Cello) and needs returning for replacement.
Your use of the words "portable" and "many buttons" suggests an old set to me- probably at the end of it's life!
