If I see posts or answers by various contributors I read them (The Builder, sadly quiet of late, Buenchico, Vetuste, and several others) - I know that even if I disagree with their words, they will still be worth reading.

And there are some, who I’d class as the white van men and women, that I ignore.

One or two (the real ranting ravers) I’ll read as in previous generations people used to visit Bedlam, for the crack.

But I would say that I have changed my mind about some posters.

Is it just me, or do others pre-judge?

I never read jim360's posts. He's so self-obsessed. Even talks about himself in the third person sometimes, the arrogant git.

Okay, I will play. PP mostly ignore, who dat den.

AH, who wants to read a page and a half of the same old.

Naomi always worth a 2nd read.

I read every post on every thread I contribute to, with the exception of Peter Pedant, simply because I can't understand what he is saying, so I no longer waste my time trying to figure it out.
I never read Jim's posts.
Arrogant git....
oh yes, life's too short (well, mine is) to read everybody and everything, and name-calling seems to have replaced debate over the last few years. So there are a dozen or more I'll always read, a similar number I don't bother with.
I also never read Bainbrigs posts so I've no ide what this is about...
pretty much the same as Jno, and like Jno, not naming names
I read everyone's on a thread I'm looking at (I do skim over PP because it's usually a jumble I can't be bothered to figure out). I still pre-judge some posters though.
The subject not the post attracts me or not.
For example, I would not be interested in, "New ways to use a cucumber."
Depends how long the post is. If it's too long winded then I can't be bothered. I also don't waste too much of my life reading posts that contain too many quotes from other posters.

Don't think its about pre-judging, more about what interests you.
I love PP's posts, harder to solve than the Times crossie.
Awe . Poor pp . :-(
I'm fair too nosy to ignore much.
I never read Jim360's posts either. It's nothing personal - I just keep getting distracted by trying to make sense of this:

There are loads more I ALWAYS read - Andy Hughes, even though he’s going a bit old-maidy lately; jim, jno, even Peter the Pedant - a bit of a loony, but often thought-provoking - I avoid the pompous and the sarcastic, and oddly I’ve taken to reading Togo - strange bedfellows!
"I also don't waste too much of my life reading posts that contain too many quotes from other posters. "

But what does it mean to waste life? Confucius famously said that choosing a job you love would mean that you never have to work a day in your life; but such a choice can only be reserved for a select few. Must that mean that those of us unlucky to land in jobs that we do not love so [continued for five pages...]
Avoid PP unless he's posted in just a few sentences. NJ's answers are too long and AH's uses too much C&P...who wants to read everything twice!!
I've a reasonable suspicion that no one ever reads mine.
