Ford Escort - Weird Rear Wiper Problem
3 Answers
Hi all!
Hope someone can help me with this annoying problem I'm having with my rear windscreen wiper on my 1992 (K reg) 1.6 Escort...
When I switch the rear windscreen wiper on, and then switch it off the wiper stops wherever it is in its wiping cycle at the time it is turned off - e.g. it regularly stops in the middle of the windscreen and I have to look in my rearview mirror to get the timing correct so that it stops at the bottom!
BUT... if I first switch the rear window demister on, I can switch the rear wiper on, and when I switch it off, it resets back to the bottom of the rear window like the front wipers do.
I've also noticed that when I don't initially switch the demister on, the light on the demister button comes on while the rear wiper is switched on.
I'm thinking it's some sort of short circuit or something like that, but I haven't got a clue how to fix it...
Any advice greatly appreciated!
Thanks, Daniel
