I have a week old recliner chair which does not suit me, in fact it hurts my back, the firm it was bought from are not interested in helping me, I would like to donate this chair FREE to someone who needs it, can anyone help me with this??

I bought it from a firm called GROVERNOR, when I called to tell the that the chair did not suit, they turned the problem back onto me, they are coming out this Thursday with an engineer to see what is what, BUT, after having spoken to them on the phone I get the feeling that they will not let me return the chair, which BTW cost a 4 figure sum, so I decided to pre-empt them and give the chair away to someone who needs it, I am in the Edinburgh area if anyone is interested.

But they might take it back or replace it.

I've just bought a new mattress that can be returned in 30 days if it doesn't suit.

You have the right to return an item for a refund or replacement withing 30 days of buying it even if you just change your mind. If its faulty up to six months.

Are you really in the position to just write off 'a four-figure sum', without giving the company a chance to sort the problem?

try their customer services they offer free home trials and ask if you can trial another chair as the one you have is not fit for purpose if you bought it on your credit card they maybe able to assist

I know someone who bought from Grovernor and they also sent out an engineer. They changed the chair twice until they got the dimensions correct and were extremely nice ( I was there for moral support when they came as she lives alone and is elderly) . Give them a chance to get it right.
