Hi Can Anyone Tell Me How Jet2 Car Hire Works? We Have Always Hired From A Hire Place That We Know In Cyprus However We Have Just Booked Our June 2020 Holiday And Noticed On Jet2 That The Car Hire May Be Cheaper Than What We Pay.
Having said that are there more charges to be added on when you get a car with jet2? Thanks.

Names such as Gold Car. If you have found a local firm that you are happy with then stick with that. I haven't been to Cyprus but hire cars regularly in Menorca and read all sorts of horror stories about big name companies on TA. I always use the same local company I'm happy with, even if it is a little bit more expensive it's hassle free.
Jet2 Car Hire acts as a broker, in a similar way to how Confused.com looks for deals on car insurance and Parcel2Go tries to find you the cheapest way to send parcels.
Just as it can be cheaper to insure your car with XYZ Insurance through Confused.com than going direct to XYZ, and cheaper to send your parcel with Royal Mail through Parcel2Go than by simply walking into your local Post Office branch, Jet2 Car Hire can (hopefully) find cheaper deals with Hertz, Avis, Alamo, etc than you can get by going directly to those firms.

I don't know about hiring through Jet2, but I usually book a BA FlyDrive and tag on a car and that definitely works out cheaper than hiring separately. Regarding the CDW insurance, I buy Hire Car insurance in the UK before travelling. www.questor-insurance.co.uk is one such company I have used and the premium for world wide car hire, including UK, is about £80. Make sure that the insurance covers any excess whatsoever down to zero should the worst happen. Take the certificate of insurance with you and that should save you a lot of hassle and cost.
