Honeywell Thermostat Help Please

Hi I have just moved house and can't make sense of the system. Before I go to the expense of an engineer fallout on a weekend thought I'd try here.

I have a wireless relay in the hall and a thermostat. All radiators bar one have tvrs set to 4 or 5. Boiler is working firing on but radiators won't turn on. I've whacked thermostat right up over 20 as it's currently showing 13.5 degrees (yes I'm cold) but nothing will work. I've tried repairing and rebinding devices per troubleshooting tips and they are paired.

Any advice please?

Have you tried changing the batteries in the thermostat?

If it's a wireless thermostat are you sure the batteries are good? It may be displaying the temperature but might need more life in the battery to send a signal to the controller.

Is the hot water system working? If so check that the 3 way diverter valve is not stuck and only passing the boiler output to the hot water system.

Good thought, Togo. Our 3-way valve sometimes needs a manual override in the autumn having been unused for several months.

Check if heating is on timed mode also.

Thanks so far. Yes brand new batteries that's the first thing I did. Hot water is fine, timer is fine. Boiler fan and flame fired up when timer clicks on. The radiator without a tvr is getting warm so something is working I can't figure out what's wrong. I'm sure its something really ridiculous. Engineer callout is £90 plus. I'm reluctant to do it if I'm going something stupid.

Do you know the previous occupants? Can you ask them if there is something you have overlooked?

Do you not have a Honeywell instruction book. We have a control panel to set timer and run cycles for our hot water and heat independent of each other. Have you bled the radiators? Did the previous owners not leave any instructions?

Have you tried operating the diverter valve manually? There is usually a lever on the side which can be moved up and across to switch the water flow from hot water to radiators; the default position is "hot water" and systems are usually set up such that the water is heated to the desired temperature before any flow is sent to the radiators.

Can you tell if the pump is running? The non-TVR rad may be warming just through convection.

It does sound as though your circulating pump is either faulty or stuck.

When the thermostat /timer clicks on, it calls for the boiler pump to start up. It sounds like this isn't happening.

If it's a combi boiler, the pump may not be so easy to get at, but if it's a conventional boiler, then the pump will either be near the boiler, or in the airing cupboard.

There are Youtube videos I've seen, that show you how to free up a stuck pump.

Thank you all. Yes I have instruction books I've followed them all, done all the troubleshooting and still no heat. Previous owners not contactable. Pump is running flame fires. I'm fairly sure it's the thermostat as its saying 13.5 which I've checked separately and is right.

Ruggi, how do you know the pump is running?

If the "heat leak" rad is warm (the one without a TRV), then the control has succeeded in firing up the boiler.
That doesn't mean the pump is operating.

Is this a conventional boiler, or a combi? Either way there is a diverter valve. On the conventional boiler there should be a manual lever for you to turn on to radiator feed ( as already been stated) somewhere near the pump, but not on the combi. have you looked at this????

Grasping at straws now - my system has 3 thermostats, one on the boiler, another on a wall and a third strapped to the hot water cylinder. If the one strapped to the cylinder is set too high ie, higher than the one on the boiler, the flow might never switch from hot water to radiators.
