Does any one have mydrive Connect installed on their computer. For the last three days I have been notified I have an update awaiting. It's a usual Satellite addition. When I connect my TomTom Start 60 to update I keep getting the message
Something has gone wrong.........................This service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.
Is any one else getting this and having the same problem? It would appear by the message that the fault is at their end and not my equipment but I would feel better if I had that confirmation.I will be drive/touring Europe in a few weeks and would like a total update beforehand.
Ta in advance

Try logging out in the app and back in again, I had this over & over last year and found this hint on the web & it worked for me

Thanks for your input Fitzer. I'm afraid I tried that many times over the last three days. No joy! I set an e-mail to TomTom yesterday and reported the fault. They actually acknowledged it and stated an engineer would get back to me.I live in hope that Monday, being a working day, may bring some suggestion from themselves. If they said their site was down and they were working on it then that would help me a little.
It seems to be the in thing these days retro, no one will admit that they might be having a problem, hence their happy to leave you in the dark, just for the sake of telling you that we need a few hours to sort a problem out, and saving us all from getting frustrated, and thinking what the hell am I doing wrong.
Prompted by your post I've connected my TomTom via Connect and it's happily downloading the updates (19 min left). I'll give you a further update later.
Updates downloaded successfully and now it's updating - just over an hour left.
I got an email a couple of days ago, offering speed camera updates for just £1.00, so I thought I'd take them up on the offer and update my Tomtom sat nav at the same time.
I logged on and there was a map update, as well as my speed cameras that I'd just purchased .... everything downloaded and installed fine for me.

Thanks for all your replies. It looks like my equipment has a fault. God. Where do I start?. One site suggested a reset but I will lose all my stored data and latest European zone 8 update. :-(

Bingo.Just got a result. A successful update downloaded. Unfortunately I can't begin to guess what I may have been doing wrong. I've never had this problem before.
Thanks all very much for your help.
How old is your TomTom, Retrocop? I had a very old model (910, I think) which I decided I would update the maps on after a prompt from TomTom; it just wouldn't work, so I bought a new one. It made me wonder if TomTom cause problems with older models to encourage you to buy an updated one.
I've just looked at backing up your Tomtom, so you could restore it after doing a reset.
I found the following page, but note at the top of the page it says, "it's currently not possible to update devices using MyDrive Connect, TomTom Home or over Wi-Fi. We are working on a fix with high priority".

https://uk.support.tomtom.com/app/home/locale/en_GB

Looks like the problem could be with TomTom after all ??

Thanks Gizmaster. That's curious as I eventually managed to update the satellite download. When I now put the cursor on 'my drive connect' the pop up indicates my device is now up to date. :-)
